Brand USA is set to organise its ninth annual MegaFam event this autumn, promising an extensive exploration of the United States. Agents from the UK and Ireland will embark on diverse itineraries, highlighting America’s vast offerings.

Scheduled from September 25 to October 3, this multi-centre trip will feature six unique itineraries across different states, culminating in an exciting finale in Chicago. The event aims to deepen agents’ understanding of US travel destinations, fostering a richer tourism experience.

The MegaFam event will see 60 agents participating in one of six meticulously planned itineraries. These trips will cover a range of destinations including Arizona, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Colorado, and Michigan. This unique opportunity allows agents to experience the diverse attractions and cultural offerings available across these states.

Jackie Ennis, vice president of global trade development for Brand USA, remarked on the strategic partnership: “We are delighted to be partnering with Aer Lingus for the first time this year, alongside American Airlines and British Airways, which will allow us to continue to highlight new routes and the huge accessibility to US destinations from the UK and Ireland.”

The initiative aims to provide agents with in-depth product knowledge, equipping them to offer clients a broader range of travel options. By experiencing destinations firsthand, agents gain unique insights that enhance their capability to advise and inspire travellers.

Such initiatives are pivotal in strengthening the relationship between UK and US travel industries, fostering mutual growth and understanding.

Chicago’s selection as the finale destination underscores its role as a key gateway city in the US, offering a microcosm of American urban attractions.

The success of past MegaFams highlights the event’s role in educating agents and enhancing the travel industry’s dynamism.

This approach not only benefits agents but also enhances the overall competitiveness of the travel industry, ensuring that clients receive a quality service that is both knowledgeable and comprehensive.

Brand USA’s ninth MegaFam is poised to significantly contribute to the promotion of US destinations. Through strategic partnerships and immersive experiences, it offers agents invaluable insights, reinforcing the bond between UK and US travel markets. This initiative continues to play a vital role in the development and enrichment of tourism relations.
