    Emirates Highlights the Importance of Timely Arrivals at Dubai International Airport

    Travellers flying with Emirates from Dubai this summer are urged to prioritise punctuality. The airline expects increased traffic and potential delays.

    To ensure a smooth travel experience, passengers are advised to allow sufficient time for airport formalities, especially on busy days.

    Punctuality: A Priority for Emirates Passengers

    Emirates has issued a strong reminder to its passengers travelling from Dubai International Airport this summer, emphasising the need for punctuality. With expectations of high passenger volumes and increased congestion, particularly during peak travel times such as the Eid Al Adha holiday, the airline encourages travellers to plan ahead. Passengers are advised to complete immigration control procedures by 90 minutes before their flight’s departure.

    Anticipating High Passenger Traffic

    This year, Dubai International Airport is poised to witness a surge in passenger traffic, with Emirates estimating 2.6 million travellers over the next few weeks. The anticipated peak days fall around the Islamic holiday of Eid Al Adha and in early July. The airport is expected to experience significant volumes of passengers during these periods.

    Emirates advises passengers to allocate extra time for their journey to the airport, taking into account road traffic and the time necessary to navigate through the airport to reach departure gates in good time.

    Enhanced Check-in and Luggage Services

    To facilitate a smoother check-in process, Emirates has implemented innovative solutions such as the Sara robot check-in agent stationed at a Dubai city centre travel store. This service allows passengers to drop off their luggage between 24 and four hours prior to their flight.

    Additionally, passengers have the option to check in online or via the mobile app up to 48 hours before their flight’s scheduled departure, providing additional convenience and efficiency in managing their pre-flight preparations.

    Travellers can also take advantage of the option to drop off their bags at the airport a day before their travel.

    Suggestions include arriving at the airport three hours ahead of time to accommodate additional security checks and passenger flow through immigration.
