Jet2 Unveils Its Largest Greece Programme Yet

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced the launch of their most extensive travel programme to Greece, marking a 12% increase in air capacity for 2024.

This strategic expansion reflects a strong partnership with the Greek National Tourist Office and aims to meet the growing demand for Greek destinations from UK travellers.

In 2024, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are set to offer their most extensive programme for Greece to date. The air capacity has increased by 12% compared to the previous year, reflecting the growing demand for Greek destinations. This expansion is part of Jet2’s strategic collaboration with the Greek National Tourist Office (GNTO), showcasing more than 100 routes from 11 UK airports to 14 destinations across Greece.

Jet2 has introduced several new routes for 2024, including flights from Liverpool to popular Greek destinations such as Corfu, Heraklion, Kos, Rhodes, and Zante. Birmingham and Newcastle will now offer flights to Mytilene and Chania respectively. This expansion aims to cater to the increasing demand for Greek holidays.

Jet2’s increased capacity focuses on key Greek locations, enhancing accessibility and convenience for travellers. More flights are scheduled during peak periods, with special emphasis on Crete, Corfu, and Santorini. Moreover, the summer season for Crete (Heraklion) and Rhodes will extend until mid-November, offering more opportunities for late-season getaways.

Jet2holidays is enriching its offerings with approximately 1,500 hotels, including 200 new properties in Greece for the year 2024. The introduction of nearly 300 villa properties under Jet2Villas further enhances the accommodation options available to holidaymakers, ensuring a variety of choices to suit different preferences and budgets.

For summer 2024, Jet2 is introducing a new Sunday departure from Manchester, complementing the existing services on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This enhancement provides four weekly Manchester to Santorini flights, accommodating a more flexible travel itinerary for holidaymakers, thereby increasing flight availability.

The marketing campaign with GNTO, launched last year, has achieved significant success. The initiative includes offline and online advertising, bolstered by social media campaigns, press outreach, and influencer engagements. Such efforts have led to impressive visibility and engagement, enhancing Greece’s appeal as a top travel destination.

A key factor in Jet2’s expanded operations is its strategic partnerships. Long-standing collaborations, particularly with GNTO, have been instrumental in increasing exposure and driving sales. These partnerships enable Jet2 to promote Greek destinations effectively, aiding in the brand’s sustained growth and success within the region.

Jet2’s ambitious plans for Greece in 2024 underscore their commitment to providing exceptional holiday experiences.

With increased flight routes, extended seasons, and enhanced accommodation options, Jet2 continues to position itself as a leader in the travel industry.
