TUI has been recognised as one of the top ten employers in the UK, according to the annual Sunday Times Best Places to Work league.

This accolade highlights TUI’s commitment to creating a positive work environment for its extensive workforce.

    Recognition Among Top Employers

The Sunday Times’ annual Best Places to Work league features TUI in the category for very big organisations, which includes companies with over 2,000 employees. TUI’s inclusion among the top ten underscores its significant achievements in fostering a supportive workplace culture. Other notable companies in this category include Octopus Energy, Vitality, and David Lloyd Clubs.

Furthermore, TUI received high commendation for its focus on employee wellbeing, a testament to the company’s holistic approach to staff satisfaction.

    Survey Methodology

The results are based on an extensive nationwide survey that evaluates over 500 organisations across different industries and sizes. This comprehensive survey includes 26 questions designed by a team of behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, and academics.

The questions aim to accurately gauge employee engagement, wellbeing, and discretionary effort. Companies must excel in a six-step framework covering reward and recognition, instilling pride, information sharing, empowerment, wellbeing, and job satisfaction to achieve a high engagement score.

    Leadership Remarks

Andrew Flintham, Managing Director of TUI UK and Ireland, expressed his delight with the recognition, stating, “I am thrilled that TUI UK has been acknowledged as one of the best places to work in the UK, and I’m especially proud of our high commendation for wellbeing.”

Flintham added, “We consistently strive to make TUI a fantastic place to work, whether it’s for our airline crew, retail staff, or customer service teams ensuring our clients enjoy their holidays.”

    Commitment to Employee Wellbeing

TUI’s commendation for employee wellbeing is particularly noteworthy. The company’s efforts include various initiatives aimed at promoting mental and physical health, work-life balance, and overall job satisfaction.

Programmes tailored to different roles within the company ensure that every employee, from airline crew to retail staff, benefits from a supportive work environment.

    High Standards in Employee Engagement

To secure its place on the list, TUI had to demonstrate exceptional performance across several key areas. This includes reward and recognition, pride in work, effective communication, empowerment, and high levels of job satisfaction.

The company’s commitment to these principles reflects in its strong engagement scores, making it a desirable workplace for professionals across various sectors.

    Other Recognised Organisations

In addition to TUI, EasyJet holidays was named in the big organisation category for companies with 250 to 1,000 employees. Other noteworthy organisations in this category include the Dorchester Collection and Dakota Hotels.

These recognitions illustrate the diversity and calibre of companies committed to fostering positive work environments in the UK.

    Ongoing Efforts and Future Goals

TUI continues to focus on enhancing its workplace culture. The company’s leadership is committed to ongoing improvements and actively seeks feedback from its employees to drive positive change.

TUI’s recognition in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work league serves as a benchmark for its future efforts in maintaining high standards of employee engagement and wellbeing.
