This summer, cruise industry professionals are invited to join the upcoming CLIA summer school sessions, which promise insightful educational opportunities.

Scheduled across July and August, these virtual classes offer a unique platform for direct engagement with top cruise lines. Participants can expect the latest updates and training from industry leaders.

    Interactive Learning Experience

The CLIA summer school returns with its well-regarded interactive sessions. Each hour-long class includes presentations from four major cruise lines, offering a 15-minute segment per representative. These sessions provide real-time access to new information, encouraging active participation and queries from attendees.

According to CLIA UK & Ireland MD Andy Harmer, the initiative is “the go-to summer event for agents” eager for direct, up-to-date insights from cruise lines.

    Weekly Schedule of Sessions

Beginning on 13 July, the sessions are set for every Thursday at 9.30 am until the end of August. Each week, different cruise line representatives will present, starting with Windstar Cruises and concluding with Virgin Voyages and others in late August.

The schedule is as follows: 13 July features Windstar Cruises, A-Rosa, Explora Journeys, and MSC Cruises. On 20 July, learn from Quark Expeditions, Oceania Cruises, Royal Caribbean, and APT.

Sessions on 27 July include insights from Celestyal, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, Swan Hellenic, and AmaWaterways.

On 3 August, representatives from Avalon Waterways, Holland America Line, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, and Celebrity Cruises will conduct their sessions.

Cruise lines on 10 August, such as CroisiEurope, Seabourn, Amadeus River Cruises, and Carnival Cruise Line, will provide their updates.

    Diverse Line-Up for August

The programme continues into August, embracing a broad spectrum of prominent cruise lines. Notably, Scenic & Emerald Cruises will speak on 17 August alongside AE Expeditions and others.

As the sessions progress, they become a pivotal meeting point for learning and collaboration among industry professionals.

Every session features distinct cruise line insights, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the current market and future trends.

    Upcoming Destination Showcase Event

In addition to the summer sessions, CLIA has also opened registration for its Destination Showcase event. Scheduled in Porto from 6-8 October, this event promises to extend learning opportunities beyond the summer months.

The Destination Showcase complements the virtual sessions by offering in-person engagement and detailed exploration of cruise destinations.

    Focus on Real-Time Engagement

These educational sessions are designed to enhance industry knowledge and strategic awareness among agents. They facilitate direct conversations between agents and cruise line representatives.

CLIA emphasises the importance of staying informed and agile in an ever-evolving industry, making these sessions crucial for ongoing professional development.

The live nature of these presentations ensures that participants have access to the freshest information available.

    Free Registration for All Participants

One of the standout features of the CLIA summer school is its accessibility; all sessions are free of charge, removing financial barriers to participation. This invites a broad range of trade professionals to engage without hesitation.

The no-cost format of these classes is part of CLIA’s commitment to empowering the cruise trade sector with valuable educational resources.

    Conclusion of Sessions

The summer series culminates on 24 August with final sessions featuring Virgin Voyages, Tauck, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, and Riverside Luxury Cruises.

This conclusive session offers a chance to consolidate all the information shared over the summer, setting a hopeful tone for future developments in the cruise industry.
