Cruise Croatia is set to launch a new luxury small ship, MV Aretis, in 2025. This addition marks a significant development in the cruise line’s fleet.

With its ability to sail to unique destinations, the MV Aretis offers a new dimension to luxury cruising. The ship features modern amenities and caters to the growing demand for intimate travel experiences.

MV Aretis: A New Voyage Awaits

Scheduled to join the Cruise Croatia fleet in early spring 2025, the MV Aretis represents the first new-build luxury small ship from Croatia in three years. It will embark on 19 seven-night journeys between Dubrovnik and Split, beginning 7 June through 11 October. In 2026, the vessel plans to extend its offerings with 24 departures throughout the summer season.

    Partnership and Investment

Cruise Croatia has collaborated with the Radež shipyard in Korcula, making a strategic investment of 20% in the construction process of MV Aretis. This partnership secures exclusive rights to utilise the ship for the years 2025, 2026, and 2027, demonstrating the company’s commitment to sustainable growth and enhancing passenger experiences.

The investment ensures Cruise Croatia is poised to deliver a unique and sophisticated cruising experience aboard the MV Aretis, maintaining competitive and innovative standards in the luxury cruise market.

    Luxury and Comfort Onboard

The 18 en-suite cabins aboard MV Aretis each measure up to 160 sq ft, ensuring ample space and privacy for guests. The upper deck will house a restaurant and bar area, providing exquisite dining options.

Outside, travellers can relax on the sundeck or in the covered outdoor lounge, complete with sofas, sun loungers, and a jacuzzi. These amenities underline the ship’s commitment to offering a premium and comfortable cruise experience.

Moreover, the availability of complimentary Wi-Fi, tea, coffee, and filtered water ensures that guests have all necessary comforts at their disposal, augmenting the overall onboard hospitality.

    Experiencing the Adriatic

MV Aretis will enrich its cruises with swim stops, allowing guests to enjoy the pristine waters of the Adriatic Sea. A range of water sports equipment, including stand-up paddle boards, sea kayaks, and snorkelling gear, will be available for guest use.

This array of activities ensures that passengers can fully explore and engage with the beautiful marine environments during their travels.

    Commitment to Solo Travellers

Earlier this year, Cruise Croatia expanded its offerings to solo travellers by introducing single occupancy cabins at no extra charge throughout 2024. Such initiatives cater to the increasing interest from individuals seeking unique cruising experiences.

The exclusive experiences arranged for solo travellers, both aboard and ashore, underscore Cruise Croatia’s commitment to inclusive and thoughtful travel solutions.

    Comments from Cruise Croatia

Graham Carter, the chief commercial officer of Cruise Croatia, highlighted the company’s pride in introducing the MV Aretis: “We’re very proud to announce the introduction of MV Aretis to the Cruise Croatia fleet. Demand for luxury small-ship cruising is growing, as guests seek out holidays with a difference, exploring destinations that larger vessels simply cannot visit.”

Carter further emphasized the stylish and elegant nature of the MV Aretis, noting that it represents one of the most deluxe ships to be built in Croatia.

    Future Prospects

Looking ahead, Cruise Croatia is poised to redefine the luxury small-ship cruising sphere with the MV Aretis. Offering bespoke travel experiences and focusing on niche routes, it aims to attract a discerning clientele.

This strategic launch underscores the company’s growth and its capacity to cater to modern travelers’ desires for exclusive and enriching travel encounters.
