Cunard has announced the maiden voyage for its newest ship, the Queen Anne, set to explore the British Isles in a culturally rich festival setting.

Launching in May, the Queen Anne will embark on a 14-night roundtrip adventure, marking a significant moment in Cunard’s storied history.

The Queen Anne will depart from Southampton on 24 May 2024, embarking on its first official journey. This 14-night cruise will encompass scenic destinations across Great Britain and Ireland, including ports such as Liverpool, Belfast, and the Scottish Highlands.

Cunard president Katie McAlister remarked, “Christmas has come early for travellers… celebrating the arrival of Queen Anne…an iconic journey.”

Throughout its initial season, Queen Anne will not only focus on the British Isles but will also cover expansive routes across Europe.

Destinations include the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Canary Islands, and Norwegian Fjords… over 60 destinations in 16 countries. This broad itinerary offers varied experiences for travellers.

The success of the Queen Anne’s launch is underscored by record-breaking bookings during the Black Friday period.

Cunard reports significant momentum in bookings for 2024 and 2025, showcasing strong interest in their European offerings.

Earlier this year, Cunard undertook an extensive campaign to inform travel agents of its 2025 programme.

A dedicated team visited over 200 travel agencies, enhancing partnerships and reinforcing Cunard’s commitment to its agents.

Cunard’s engagement strategy focused on strengthening relationships with travel agents, enhancing sales outreach.

Director Tom Mahoney emphasised the crucial role of these partnerships for the brand’s ongoing success.

The announcement of Queen Anne’s inaugural sailing has generated enthusiasm among loyal Cunarders.
