Hays Travel has announced a strategic transformation of its in-house tour operating arm, HTOL, which will be rebranded as Vista. This transformation includes the integration of a specialised cruise team, marking a significant shift in the company’s approach to supporting travel agents and enhancing customer experiences.

In a bid to elevate its industry standing, Hays Travel is introducing Vista with a focus on expanding its service offerings. This initiative is designed to strengthen the company’s connections with travel agents while embracing an ever-evolving market landscape. By the end of 2023, Vista aims to deliver a comprehensive travel solution that goes beyond traditional city breaks and beach holidays.

Rebranding to Vista: A New Era for HTOL

HTOL is set to undergo a significant rebrand, introducing the name Vista by the end of 2023. This strategic move aims to expand its product offerings and expertise across various travel genres, such as cities, beaches, cruises, and touring holidays. By diversifying its services, Vista plans to capture a broader spectrum of the travel market.

The establishment of a dedicated in-house product team is central to this transformation. This team will focus on driving growth by enhancing the product portfolio and delivering superior services to agents. Vista is committed to deepening its industry connections and visibility, furthering its reach in the travel sector.

    Enhancing the Cruise Experience

The creation of a dedicated cruise team is a pivotal element of Vista’s strategy to extend its offerings. This team will cater to the increasing inquiries for cruise-and-stay packages, responding to evolving customer preferences. Extending beyond city and beach holidays, this move showcases Vista’s adaptability and foresight in a competitive market.

Kathleen Molloy, previously responsible for HTOL sales and product, will lead Vista’s sales and product team. Her experience and knowledge are seen as vital to the rebranding’s success. ‘This is the right time to rebrand and take our operation to the next level,’ she stated.

    Operational Support and Customer Service

Vista is also enhancing its after-sales and operational support. This includes a 24-hour emergency line available for customers at UK airports or overseas, providing a crucial service in today’s travel environment.

With Tracey Luke stepping into the role of head of Vista operations, the emphasis on exceptional service is clear. She highlighted the positive feedback received about the current service offerings, underscoring the importance of efficient and accurate customer support.

Recognition and Leadership in the Industry

Recently, Hays Travel rewarded its top 15 cruise-selling agents with an all-inclusive US trip, emphasising its commitment to recognising agent excellence.

Industry leadership is further supported by the addition of Jo Rzymowska, former Celebrity Cruises vice president, as a non-executive director. Her appointment brings a wealth of experience, signifying Hays Travel’s strategic intent to strengthen its leadership team.

    Adapting to Market Demands

Vista aims to address the market’s growing demand for diverse holiday experiences. By integrating a dedicated team for cruise services, it positions itself to meet these expectations effectively.

The rebrand underscores Vista’s ambition to be a versatile player in the travel sector, facilitating a wider range of holiday solutions. Emphasising adaptability, this approach is designed to enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty.

    Strategic Partnerships and Growth

Building partnerships with both existing and new agents is at the core of Vista’s growth strategy. Such collaborations are expected to strengthen the brand’s market presence and drive business expansion.

This strategic initiative not only strengthens its industry stance but also promises enriched experiences for both agents and customers. The focus on adaptability and comprehensive support sets a promising trajectory for future growth.
