HX has initiated a strategic revamp of its executive team with the formal appointment of Alex Delamere-White as Chief Commercial Officer.

This reshuffle signals HX’s commitment to enhancing leadership capabilities, crucial for aligning with its long-term growth strategy.

    New Leadership at HX

HX has announced significant changes within its executive leadership team, marking a strategic shift towards enhancing global operations. The appointment of Alex Delamere-White as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) stands out among the recent changes, following his impactful tenure as acting interim CCO.

Alex Delamere-White is expected to play a critical role in consolidating HX’s global functions under a unified leadership framework from its new headquarters in London. This move is designed to align with HX’s broader growth ambitions and streamline its operations globally.

Key Appointments Strengthen Marketing and Sales

Jim Sayer has taken on the role of Senior Vice President of Global Marketing. In this capacity, he will oversee the integration of HX’s marketing functions, driving a cohesive strategy across the brand.

Nathaniel Sherborne’s new role as Managing Director and Vice President of Europe and Global Sales Enablement signifies HX’s dedication to bolstering its B2B operations. This change includes the integration of a new global sales enablement function to enhance coordination across regions.

    The Context of the Reshuffle

The reshuffle follows the separation of HX from its sister brand, Hurtigruten. This strategic decision aims to distinctively position HX’s expedition products from the traditional Norwegian coastal cruises.

Delamere-White’s previous experience with renowned companies such as P&O Cruises, Cunard, and Princess Cruises shapes his approach towards advancing HX’s commercial success. His industry expertise is anticipated to foster significant growth.

“The last six months has seen pivotal change for HX, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for the business,” Delamere-White stated. His focus remains on strengthening B2B partnerships and commercial resources.

    Executive Insights

Daniel Skjeldam, HX’s Chief Executive, expressed confidence in Delamere-White’s capabilities, highlighting his valuable contributions over the past months. Skjeldam’s remarks underline the executive team’s trust in the new leadership structure.

“We are pleased to confirm Alex as our CCO for HX, leading our global commercial organisation,” Skjeldam noted, emphasising the significance of Delamere-White’s leadership in achieving best-in-class service for trade partners and guests.

    Future Prospects for HX

HX is poised to maximise its positioning within the expedition cruise sector. The leadership changes are anticipated to drive competitive advantages and improved market penetration.

Through these strategic appointments, HX aims to extend its reach and reinforce its brand presence globally. The focus remains on robust commercial performance and long-term partnerships within the travel trade industry.

Strategic Role of the London HQ

The establishment of HX’s headquarters in London is a strategic move to centralise its operations and leverage global opportunities effectively.

This location serves as a hub for implementing HX’s vision, facilitating efficient coordination across international markets.

The executive reshuffle is a pivotal moment in HX’s strategy to leverage leadership for unprecedented growth.

With new appointments steering HX’s global marketing and sales efforts, the company is poised for substantial progress.
