Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has proudly accepted its 19th fleet member, the Norwegian Viva.

This vessel is not just another addition but marks a significant milestone as the second of the anticipated six Prima class ships expected by 2028. Norwegian Viva is set to make waves with its Mediterranean and Caribbean voyages.

Norwegian Viva, with the capacity to accommodate 3,100 passengers, is a testament to innovative maritime engineering. It represents a leap in luxury and technological advancement, ready to commence its maiden voyage departing on 10 August 2023. The ship will navigate picturesque Mediterranean and Greek Isles routes, offering an extraordinary experience to its future guests.

Norwegian Viva boasts an impressive selection of amenities and facilities designed to cater to every passenger’s needs. Among its standout features is The Haven, a sanctuary comprising luxurious suites inclusive of the cruise line’s first three-bedroom suite in over 15 years.

For leisure and wellness enthusiasts, the Mandara Spa offers state-of-the-art saunas and a spectacular two-story waterfall. Guests can also experience thrills on the three-level race track or relax at the Vibe Beach Club.

Entertainment on Norwegian Viva is truly unparalleled, with options like Beetlejuice The Musical and the vibrant Ocean Music Fest.

The dining experiences are equally impressive, featuring a variety of cuisines. Guests can savour Greek delicacies at Palomar or indulge in exotic French dishes at Le Bistro, with more options such as Teppanyaki at Hasuki.

Post its Mediterranean and Greek Isles introduction, Norwegian Viva will be christened in Miami on 28 November 2023. Renowned Latin artist, Luis Fonsi, will carry out this prestigious ceremony.

Following its christening, the vessel will relocate to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where it will serve as the homeport for its Caribbean itineraries from December 2023 to March 2024.

David Herrera, the President of NCL, acknowledged the collaborative effort with the Fincantieri shipyard, which was instrumental in bringing Norwegian Viva to fruition.

He expressed excitement about the ship’s delivery, stating, “Delivery marks an important milestone for Norwegian Viva, and we are beyond excited to bring this spectacular ship to life as we welcome guests aboard next week.”

This alignment with strategic partners is a crucial component of NCL’s continued success and expansion.

The Prima class ships are crafted to epitomize elegance and innovation within the industry.

The launch of Norwegian Viva amplifies NCL’s commitment to offering unprecedented experiences and setting new benchmarks in luxury cruising. As they look forward to the next additions in the Prima class, NCL is steadfast in its pursuit of maritime excellence.
