TUI River Cruises is embarking on a new chapter with the announcement of a newly refurbished ship set to grace the Rhine and Moselle rivers.

The increase in cruise bookings has prompted TUI to expand its fleet, providing new luxury experiences for travellers across Europe.

The newly announced TUI Ria will soon join the prestigious fleet of TUI River Cruises, marking its presence on the Rhine and Moselle rivers by 2026. This vessel underscores TUI’s response to increasing demand, offering luxurious amenities to 190 passengers.

As TUI River Cruises’ largest capacity vessel, the TUI Ria offers 96 cabins with options such as standard French balconies and superior spaces. The ship’s debut is anticipated as a major enhancement. It will provide enhanced guest experiences with innovations and new features never seen before among TUI’s fleet.

Simultaneously, TUI is launching new direct flights from Newcastle to Frankfurt and Bristol to Amsterdam to better connect travellers with their cruise adventures. This move complements the increase in bookings, up by 17% compared to the previous year.

The TUI Ria will offer nine itineraries, with three newly crafted ones. These include a mix of six to nine-night excursions, allowing passengers to tailor their European exploration to their preferences. These itineraries aim to provide fresh, diverse experiences on the waterways.

The ship’s lounges and entertainment spaces guarantee there’s something for everyone, supplemented by Full Board Plus as standard. The possibility to upgrade to all-inclusive ensures flexibility for diverse passenger preferences.

The strategy not only adds capacity but also introduces novel routes and alternatives tailored to the evolving demands of their clientele. This strategic development affirms TUI’s commitment to leading the market through innovation.

The affordability, coupled with full board options, highlights TUI’s understanding of its market and dedication to providing enriching travel opportunities that are both luxurious and accessible to a broader audience.

The company’s strategic focus on passenger experience and expansion in Europe reiterates its role as a leader in the river cruise market.

TUI’s unveiling of the TUI Ria marks a pivotal advancement in European river cruising, offering enriched travel experiences.

By expanding their fleet and introducing novel amenities, TUI reinforces its market position as a key player in the industry.
