A Majestic Celebration on the Nile

These ships, poised to journey the Nile River, were officially named at Viking’s private docking area. This event was followed by a sumptuous dinner at the renowned Karnak Temple. A highlight of the evening was a performance by celebrated soprano Sissel Kyrkjebø, who is also the godmother of the Viking Jupiter. Her presence added to the grandeur of the occasion.

    Ceremonial Guardians of Tradition

The title of godfather for Viking Hathor was bestowed upon The Hon. Edward Herbert. His ancestral ties to the region add historical significance. His great-great-grandfather, the fifth Earl of Carnarvon, was instrumental in the discovery of King Tutankhamen’s tomb.
