Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, the airline and tour operator, have announced the launch of scheduled flights and holidays from Birmingham Airport to Morocco for the first time.

As per the plan, Jet2 operate year-round from Birmingham Airport to two destinations in Morocco – Agadir and Marrakech – with flights and holidays on sale for both Winter 24/25 and Summer 25.

The companies will operate up to four weekly flights to Morocco from the airport, commencing from October 2024 and running right through to November 2025. Customers travelling to Morocco with Jet2holidays and Jet2CityBreaks will initially be able to choose from around 50 4-5 star hotels across Marrakech city, the wider Marrakech area and Agadir.

The company will operate two weekly flights to Marrakech from October 4, 2024 through to 14 November 2025 from Birmingham Airport. Customers travelling on a Jet2holiday can enjoy the city and its surrounding areas, experiencing the Moroccan way of life whilst enjoying the sunshine and facilities in a selection of over 20 4 and 5-star hotels in the Marrakech area.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have also launched year-round flights and holidays from Birmingham Airport to Agadir, which is Morocco’s most popular pick for a beach getaway. Jet2 will operate two weekly flights to Agadir from October 3, 2024 to November 16 2025 from Birmingham Airport. Customers can choose from almost 20 hotels in Agadir with Jet2holidays, with a wide selection of quality hotels available, mostly 4-star and above.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: ‘We are thrilled to be giving customers and independent travel agents even more choice from Birmingham Airport thanks to the launch of Morocco as a brand-new destination. With year-round availability to the magical destinations of Marrakech and Agadir, we are giving holidaymakers access to two famous holiday hotspots. We are incredibly excited about these new destinations, and we know how immensely popular they will be with our customers.’

Tom Screen, Aviation Director at Birmingham Airport, said: ‘These additional flights on sale to this popular holiday destination, coupled with 50 4-5 star hotels across Marrakech city, the wider Marrakech area and Agadir means Birmingham Airport’s customers have great options for Winter 24/25 and Summer 25 getaways. Morocco has something to offer all, from its beautiful beaches to its old age architecture. These will undoubtably be popular city break or holiday destinations.’
