Revolut, the global fintech platform with over 50 million customers worldwide and hundreds of thousands of business clients, has announced a new partnership with Wizz Air, the most environmentally sustainable airline in EMEA. This collaboration brings secure, one-click checkouts to Wizz Air’s 60+ million customers, starting with the app and expanding to the website in May.

The 10 million UK Revolut users can now book flights with Wizz Air without the need to enter payment details. By selecting Revolut Pay at checkout on the Wizz Air app, users can complete their booking in seconds, approving payments securely through the Revolut app using passcodes or biometric identification.

Part of Revolut Business payments acceptance offer, over 1 million global customers have completed payments and over 25,000 merchants accepted payments with Revolut Pay in 2024.

Founded in 2003, Wizz Air is one of Europe’s leading airlines. Since launch, it has rapidly expanded and led the way in disrupting the competitive aviation industry, and is now operating nearly 800 routes across Europe and beyond.

Alex Codina, General Manager of Acquiring at Revolut, said: “We are so excited to have Wizz Air on board as a Revolut Pay partner and to be supporting them with making the customer journey as seamless and secure as possible from start to finish.

“Especially in the travel sector, the payment processes can be extremely complex and long. We believe this should not be the case, and partnering with trusted and innovative brands like Wizz Air allows us to keep building the future of payments in the industry together.“

Ian Malin, Chief Financial Officer at Wizz Air, added: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Revolut as we look to bring even more flexibility and enhanced user experience to our customers. With Revolut, our customers are not only getting the best Wizz Air deals but are able to earn rewards to spend on their future trips and other purchases. This partnership gives 62 million Wizz Air passengers access to Revolut’s disruptive fintech solutions, cheaper payment options and, ultimately, lower air fares.”
