UK-based low fares airline easyJet introduced two new flights from Bristol Airport last week – the airline introduced new flights to the Greek island of Zante as well as to Catania in Sicily, the Airport said in a release.

Holidaymakers looking for a break to these locations this summer are offered flights to Zante, starting from £32.34 per person, and Catania, from £32.24 per person. Tickets are available for booking at www.easyjet.com and the rates are one-way, based on two people on the same booking.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Commercial Manager, said: ‘We have grown considerably in Bristol since opening our operations at Bristol Airport just under 13 years ago and we’re absolutely delighted to provide these two new summer destinations to our growing portfolio, providing ever more choice to our passengers in the South West. We are confident that these new routes will be a great hit with holidaymakers looking for some summer sun.

‘Zante is renowned for its stunning beaches and lively nightlife, but is also privileged with spectacular scenery, nature and traditional Greek tavernas.

‘Catania is the second largest city in Sicily set in the foothills of Mount Etna which provides a breathtaking backdrop for tourists. Full of history, architecture and worldclass Italian dining, Catania is one not to be missed.’

Shaun Browne, Aviation Director at Bristol Airport, said: ‘We are delighted with the addition of these new routes and the improved destination range available to passengers in the South West and Wales region. These routes will be a popular choice over the summer season and we will continue to enhance the options available to passengers.’

Bristol Airport is now easyJet’s largest base outside of London, with the airline serving 53 destinations from the airport – more than any other airline, the Airport noted. Seven of the total destinations were introduced in April, with flights to Lanzarote, Porto, Bilbao, Gibraltar and the Isle of Man being launched mid-April.
