Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: ‘We’re delighted to be able to operate from Newcastle to Palma once again for next summer, with convenient and affordable connections to one of our customers’ favourite beach destinations in the Balearics. We remain committed to strengthening our unrivalled short-haul network and providing more affordable and easy connections to our customers across the north east by offering low fares and more choice when they travel.’

Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development, said: ‘We are delighted to see the return of international flights with easyJet at Newcastle International Airport – a fantastic step forward and a vote of confidence from the airline in the Airport and the region as we move into 2022. The new five-weekly summer service to Palma will provide even more choice for our passengers to one of the region’s favourite sunshine destinations.

‘From family friendly accommodation to chic boutique hotels, Majorca makes the perfect summer holiday or short trip getaway. With around 300 days of sunshine each year the island is also one of the world’s most popular cycling destinations.’
