The UK-based flight and holiday company Jet2.com has announced the addition of more flights and holidays from Glasgow Airport to sun destinations such as the Canary Islands, Spain and Portugal for winter 18/19, with over 20,000 additional seats on sale.

The company has announced that 11 additional flights to the Canary Islands will go on sale for the next Christmas and New Year period. The extra services are to popular sun destinations such as Tenerife, Lanzarote, Alicante, Majorca and Faro.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ‘This is great news for holidaymakers looking for some winter sun out of Glasgow Airport, particularly over Christmas and New Year. The strong demand for our award winning flights and great value package holidays means we are totally committed to growing our operation at Glasgow Airport, and this announcement today shows that.’

The additional flights and holidays include two additional services to Tenerife on December 27 and December 31, as well as extra weekly services in March/April; and three additional Wednesday services to Gran Canaria over the Christmas holidays and New Year, on December 19, December 26 and January 2, 2019. Jet2.com will also operate three additional Friday services to Fuerteventura on December 21 and December 28 and January 4, 2019.

In addition, Jet2.com has added a second daily service to Lanzarote on Sundays over the Christmas holidays and New Year period on December 23, December 30 and January 6.

For the first time, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will add six services to Malaga from Glasgow with the addition of six services on December 21, December 23, 28, and 30 and on January 4 and 6. The company is also offering additional services on Mondays and Fridays from February 8.
