    Emerald Azzurra Alters Itinerary to Ensure Passenger Safety

    In response to the ongoing conflict in the Red Sea, Emerald Cruises is repositioning its vessel, the Emerald Azzurra, for the winter 2024-25 season. This strategic decision underscores the company’s commitment to guest safety while capitalising on the burgeoning demand for Caribbean cruises.

    Emerald Azzurra will shift from its initial Seychelles schedule to the Caribbean, beginning service in December. This adjustment aligns with the increased interest and near-capacity bookings for Caribbean itineraries on their sister ship, Emerald Sakara. The new routes are designed to enhance guest experiences with unique explorations in the region.

    The decision to reposition the Emerald Azzurra from the Seychelles to the Caribbean is driven by the need to prioritise passenger safety amid ongoing regional instability in the Red Sea. Emerald Cruises aims to ensure that their operations remain secure while continuing to offer unforgettable experiences to guests. This move also reflects the company’s proactive stance in adapting to geopolitical challenges impacting travel itineraries.

    The 15-day cruise, titled ‘Discover the Yachting Islands of the Caribbean,’ will visit stunning locations such as Jost Van Dyke, Norman Island, Montserrat, Antigua, and St Barts. Prices for this experience begin at £6,526, inclusive of flights, transfers, meals, Wi-Fi, and excursions, reflecting the all-encompassing nature of the offering.

    Abaslom added that the new itineraries are designed to visit ports that larger vessels cannot reach, offering more intimate exploration options. This bespoke approach caters to travellers seeking exclusive and less crowded destinations, reaffirming Emerald’s commitment to tailored guest experiences.
