Lesley Rollo has been appointed as the new UK Chief Executive of dnata Travel Group, succeeding Ailsa Pollard. This move marks a significant leadership change within the company.

Rollo, previously managing director of Travelbag, will now oversee seven UK-based brands under dnata. Her experience and leadership are expected to drive growth and innovation.

With the confirmation of Ailsa Pollard’s departure last October, dnata Travel Group has announced the appointment of Lesley Rollo as its new UK Chief Executive. This strategic transition aims to further strengthen the company’s position in the travel industry.

Rollo assumes her role on Thursday, where she will manage dnata’s diverse portfolio including both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) brands, solidifying the company’s market presence.

Lesley Rollo brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Previously, she served as the managing director for Travelbag, where she excelled in growing the long-haul travel division.

Her professional background also includes significant time at Travelopia, further enabling her to bring insightful leadership to dnata. Her skills in navigating complex travel markets are well-regarded in the industry.

“I’m thrilled to announce my new role and excited to work with our exceptional teams to shape the future together,” Rollo conveyed upon her appointment.

She emphasises her readiness for the challenges ahead, noting her eagerness to impact the UK business and the wider dnata Travel Group.

This appointment is pivotal for dnata, aiming to enhance strategic vision and innovation.

John Bevan, the Group Chief Executive, has expressed strong support for Rollo’s appointment. “Lesley’s experience and ability to inspire our teams make her an ideal fit for this position,” he stated.

He highlighted her extensive experience in the tour operating sector and her influential presence on the UK board.

As Rollo steps into her new role, the company extends gratitude to Ailsa Pollard for her over a decade of service.

Pollard’s contributions have been integral to dnata’s growth, particularly her dynamic role in the global success of the company. Her leadership has set a formidable foundation for the future.

The organisation wishes her continued success in her future endeavours, recognising her commitment and achievements.

Rollo will split her time between dnata’s offices in London and Leyland to effectively manage operations across the UK brands.

Her extensive operational experience is expected to bring about positive changes and drive strategic objectives forward.

This transition aligns with dnata’s goals to enrich its customer experiences and expand its market reach.

Rollo’s leadership is anticipated to guide the UK brands towards achieving new heights in innovation and service excellence.

The company places confidence in her visionary approach to further develop dnata’s UK market strategies.

With Lesley Rollo at the helm, dnata Travel Group aims to continue its growth trajectory, ensuring sustained success and industry leadership.

Her extensive experience and strategic approach are expected to positively impact the group’s UK operations.
