The luxury travel market sees significant expansion as Savile Row Travel’s CEO, Richard Lewis, launches two new brands.

Incorporating cruise and padel holidays, these new ventures aim to attract niche markets without compromising existing offerings.

The chief executive of Savile Row Travel, Richard Lewis, has made a strategic move to broaden the company’s portfolio by introducing two new specialised brands. The Authentic Cruise Company and the Padel Travel Club have been created to bolster the agency’s offerings, targeting niche markets eager for unique travel experiences.

Lewis explained that cruise sales were steadily increasing, prompting the idea to establish a cruise agency. Although initial plans to acquire an existing cruise agency fell through, the decision was made to develop a bespoke agency targeting new-to-cruise customers. This approach allows for meticulous design and alignment with the luxury sector’s growing capacity.

In the burgeoning cruise industry, Lewis identified an expanding market for luxury travel. Currently, there is a substantial opportunity to convert land-based holidaymakers into cruise enthusiasts. Authentic Cruise Company, launched recently, targets achieving significant sales within its first year, hoping that 10-15% of business will be through trade partnerships.

Rather than competing on price, Authentic Cruise Company will focus on offering experiential incentives through its Horizon Club rewards programme. Customers may enjoy perks like invitations to prestigious events or complimentary pre-cruise hotel stays, enhancing their overall travel experience without reducing booking costs.

Lewis emphasised the importance of working with agents experienced in the luxury travel market, seeking those skilled in selling suite categories or extended itineraries.

Simultaneously, Savile Row Travel launches the Padel Travel Club, catering to the increasing demand for padel-focused holidays. Offering trips across diverse destinations such as France, Greece, and the Maldives, the brand combines travel with professional padel coaching. This initiative taps into a previously underserved market.

At present, the Padel Travel Club has a dedicated team member, with plans to expand as demand grows. Notably, former footballer John Terry has invested in the enterprise as a shareholder, bringing additional visibility and credibility.

The move to engage well-known personalities underscores a commitment to strategic partnerships that may enhance the brand’s reach and appeal.

Lewis remains optimistic about the growth prospects for both brands, highlighting their potential to fill gaps in the luxury travel sector. By fostering a diversified offering, Savile Row Travel aims to capture new markets while maintaining its reputation for high-quality travel experiences. This strategic diversification is expected to strengthen the company’s position as an industry leader.

Additionally, possessing an Atol licence allows the agency to offer comprehensive packages, including pre- or post-cruise extensions with options like safaris or road trips.

With strategic diversification into cruise and padel holidays, Savile Row Travel positions itself at the forefront of luxury travel innovation.

These ventures not only meet current market demands but also enhance the company’s portfolio, reinforcing its status as a leader in providing exclusive travel experiences.
