Highlighting a trade-first approach, the cruise line encourages agents to secure bookings promptly. It aims to provide exceptional travel experiences through innovation and cooperation.

    Strategic Expansion of Itineraries

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has unveiled its 2026-27 Voyage Collection, featuring a remarkable 173 itineraries, including 16 brand-new ports of call. Among the highlights is the much-anticipated 2027 World Cruise, along with four Grand Voyages and eight Immersive Overnight sailings. The introduction of 144 overnight stays, coupled with a diverse selection of shore excursions, exemplifies the brand’s commitment to innovation.

    Trade-Centric Approach

Paul Beale, Vice-President of UK Sales, asserts the company’s enduring commitment to its trade partners, emphasising the intrinsic trade-first philosophy. Agents are encouraged to secure the highest-value suites promptly to maximise both commissions and margins. “We’re constantly thinking trade-first. We’ll never beat a trade price, so the trade can have confidence we’re never trying to undercut them in any shape or form,” Beale stated. This assurance reinforces the company’s dedication to maintaining strong trade relationships.

    Engagement and Support Initiatives

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is deploying a multifaceted approach to ensure its trade partners are well-acquainted with the new collection. A recent webinar was organised, complementing updates on the trade Facebook group. Account managers are actively engaging with clients, while brochures are being distributed to both agents and their customers. Beale remarked, “We’ve also got toolkits coming out of our ears,” underscoring the abundance of resources available to support agents.

    New Ports and Popular Destinations

The new itineraries introduce exciting destinations, such as Mombasa, Zanzibar, Melaka in Malaysia, and Galveston. These additions are poised to enhance the allure of western Caribbean sailings among UK travellers. The eastern Caribbean remains a popular choice among British guests, who also exhibit a strong interest in more exotic locales like Asia and Africa. Beale noted the trend of travellers booking well in advance, a testament to the high demand these itineraries attract.

Beale highlighted the appeal of Immersive Overnight sailings, particularly for guests eager to spend more time exploring destinations. “We give choice – you can either have back-to-back ports or go for those eight immersive itineraries where we’re slowing things down,” he explained. This flexibility allows guests to deeply engage with local cultures and cuisines.

    Strengthening Trade Relations

The recent enhancement of the trade sales team has been met with positive feedback from agents. The Southampton-based call centre is notably performing well, providing additional support to trade partners. Beale expressed appreciation, saying, “Thank you to the trade for working with us,” reflecting the company’s gratitude and ongoing commitment to fostering strong partnerships.

Upcoming initiatives include a fam trip scheduled for this week, and ship visits expected to resume from September. Beale expressed optimism regarding the growth of the trade team, especially with the introduction of new ships in 2026 and 2029, which are anticipated to further solidify Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ standing in the market.

Looking ahead, Regent Seven Seas Cruises plans to continue its focus on expanding trade relations and enhancing customer experiences. The introduction of innovative itineraries and new ships highlights this ambition. The company’s strategy emphasises providing varied, unique journeys that cater to diverse traveller preferences. Beale’s hopeful outlook for growth indicates a strong trajectory for the future.
