    The Foreign Office has issued updated advice for British travellers in Bolivia, specifically highlighting the risks in the capital, La Paz. With reports of a failed military coup, there is an urgent recommendation for those in the area to remain in secure accommodations or locations deemed safe.

    Heightened military activity by a faction of the Bolivian armed forces led to a significant disturbance in La Paz. The situation remains fluid, and individuals are urged to avoid the Plaza Murillo and its surroundings, a focal point of recent unrest.
