Cruise Plus has successfully hosted an educational initiative aimed at broadening the industry knowledge of travel agents in the cruising sector.

Conducted over two days, the event saw participation from 40 agents and 18 suppliers, providing an enriching platform for learning and networking.

Cruise Plus, a part of dnata Travel Group, recently orchestrated an educational event at its headquarters in Leyland, Lancashire. Over two days, 40 agents had the opportunity to engage with 18 suppliers, offering an expansive view into the dynamic world of cruising. This initiative aimed at broadening the agents’ understanding of various cruise sectors including ocean, luxury, river, and expedition.

The event featured an impressive lineup of suppliers such as Celebrity Cruises, Cunard, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Virgin Voyages, among others. Notably, Quark Expeditions joined as a new partner. Each supplier provided insights into their offerings, highlighting innovations and unique selling points. This diversity allowed agents to gain a comprehensive understanding of what each cruise line brings to the table.

The format adopted for this event allowed agents not only to learn but also to network extensively with suppliers. Agents were able to forge meaningful relationships, crucial for their growth and understanding of the industry. The two-day setup granted ample time for detailed discussions, which are often not possible in shorter events. This setup was highly appreciated by the attendees.

Feedback from both the agents and suppliers was overwhelmingly positive, indicating the event’s success in achieving its educational objectives. The exchange of knowledge and expertise appears to have been significantly beneficial for all participants.

Attending such events provides agents with the competitive edge necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving industry. By gaining insights into new products and innovations, agents are better equipped to meet the diverse needs of their clientele.

The partnerships forged or strengthened at these educational events have long-lasting impacts, often leading to collaborative ventures and enhanced service offerings for consumers.

Cruise Plus plans to host more such events in the future, reflecting on the immense success and positive feedback received from this inaugural event. By continuing to invest in educational initiatives, they aim to further support and empower agents in their professional journey.

Cruise Plus’s educational event has set a benchmark in fostering knowledge and partnerships within the cruising sector.

The success of this initiative underscores the importance of continuous learning and collaboration to stay ahead in the industry.
