Royal Caribbean International endeavours to showcase its offerings to new agents.

The upcoming Seminar at Sea gathers 400 fresh participants to expand their skills and knowledge.

Royal Caribbean International is set to host its second annual Seminar at Sea. The event will see 400 new-to-cruise or new-to-brand agents from Europe and the Middle East embark on the Oasis of the Seas from Barcelona. This initiative aims to provide participants with a memorable experience and effective tools for client engagement.

The seminar will feature customised training sessions in six languages, including French, German, Italian, Spanish, Norwegian, and English. Through interactive role-playing and quizzes, agents will gain insights and resources to enhance their client service capabilities. These sessions will not only educate but also inspire agents to better cater to diverse client needs.

Ben Bouldin, EMEA vice president, highlighted the significance of onboarding new agents, saying: “It’s been fantastic to see so many new faces join the travel industry.” The seminar is designed to give agents first-hand experience of the holiday offerings provided by Royal Caribbean, equipping them with the knowledge to craft personalised holiday packages for clients.

The company has outlined plans for additional training and digital sessions throughout the year. These will be accessible through its rewards and learning platform. The aim is to continuously develop agent skills in a dynamic industry. Furthermore, competition elements will be introduced to keep the content engaging and challenging.

Seminar at Sea stands as a pivotal part of Royal Caribbean’s strategy to expand its influence among travel agents. The hands-on experience gained on board offers a unique selling proposition, improving agents’ ability to sell holiday packages convincingly. The approach, combining education and experience, is expected to enhance agent performance significantly.

Innovative learning techniques are at the heart of this seminar. By incorporating role plays and scenario-based learning, agents can simulate real-life client situations. This practical approach ensures agents are well-prepared for any client queries, broadening their problem-solving skills.

Royal Caribbean’s Seminar at Sea initiative shows the commitment to agent development through immersive education. The continuous learning opportunities and interactive experience aim to solidify agents’ roles as knowledgeable advisors. This strategy not only benefits the agents but also enhances client satisfaction, potentially leading to increased bookings.

With the Seminar at Sea, Royal Caribbean aims to empower agents with comprehensive expertise.

This initiative is set to redefine client-agent interactions, promoting enriched travel experiences.
