Princess Cruises is poised to embark on a new chapter with its first Sphere-class ship, Sun Princess. Set to launch in early 2024, this ship marks a significant milestone in the cruise line’s History.

Nick Hughes, sales director for UK and Europe at Princess Cruises, shared insights on the evolution of the brand while maintaining its esteemed heritage. The new vessel promises energy efficiency and reduced carbon emissions, aligning with modern sustainability goals.

The upcoming launch of Sun Princess heralds a new era for Princess Cruises, marking the debut of its first Sphere-class ship. Designed with advanced energy efficiency in mind, the vessel, accommodating 4,300 guests, will also be the first powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). This innovation underscores Princess’s commitment to sustainable cruising while enhancing passenger experiences with fresh dining and entertainment options.

The vessel, inspired by Santorini’s terraces, will include ‘The Dome,’ a revolutionary entertainment venue. Princess Cruises is evolving as a brand, yet remains steadfast in delivering the exceptional service synonymous with its name.

To further engage travel agents, Princess Cruises has expanded its team, enhancing support for strategic partners. With over 1,000 ship visit opportunities across the UK alone, agents are encouraged to experience firsthand what sets Princess apart in the cruising sector.

In 2025, Princess will embark on its longest voyage to date—a 116-night world cruise covering over 33,500 nautical miles. This itinerary highlights exciting new destinations, like Bar, Montenegro, and Taranto, Italy, adding allure for adventurous travellers seeking unique experiences.

Leveraging new ships and strategic messaging, Princess aims to grow its market share and enhance brand visibility. The commitment to inclusivity and comprehensive service offerings reflect the company’s forward-thinking strategy.
