AmaWaterways experienced an unparalleled achievement in its UK sales history last month, marking a new milestone for the company.

In March, the company saw a remarkable increase in bookings, surpassing previous records and highlighting a thriving demand for river cruise experiences.

In an extraordinary turn of events, AmaWaterways reported its strongest monthly sales for the UK market in history. Sales in March rose by an impressive 74% compared to the same period last year. This significant growth is attributed to the robust support from travel agents and the strategic engagement at industry events.

Andrea Stafford, UK and Europe sales director, expressed gratitude towards their agent partners, acknowledging their relentless efforts in securing bookings. She noted the enhanced collaboration post-conference as a pivotal factor for March’s success.

Stafford also noted a rise in early 2025 bookings, with a particular increase in long-haul trips, especially for Mekong and Nile cruises, showcasing the growing confidence among travellers.

The decision mirrors AmaWaterways’ commitment to being a trade-friendly brand by supporting their agents in every possible manner, reinforcing their market position in the UK.

AmaWaterways continuously nurtures these relationships, emphasising their reliance on agents to drive business growth. This close partnership has been instrumental in reaching and surpassing sales targets.

The focus remains on sustaining this momentum through continued agent support and additional marketing initiatives targeted at potential future travellers.

AmaWaterways’ record-breaking month serves as a testament to the resilience and ongoing recovery in the river cruise sector. This achievement not only sets a new benchmark for the company but also highlights the increasing demand for unique travel experiences.
