Seabourn is launching an innovative programme to engage travel agents in June.

The cruise line is offering webinars to enhance knowledge of expedition destinations.

Seabourn is set to transform the month of June into an exciting ‘expedition month,’ offering travel agents a unique opportunity to enhance their professional knowledge. Through a series of engaging webinars, agents can delve into the intricacies of Seabourn’s expedition destinations, marking a substantial advancement in their sales expertise.

Starting from June 4th, a comprehensive 45-minute webinar will be held every Tuesday at 9am for four consecutive weeks. These sessions are designed to provide agents with detailed insights into key expedition destinations. The series will also include a reflection on the first year of operations of the Seabourn Pursuit, providing historical context and key achievements.

By attending at least two of these insightful webinars and completing a Seabourn expedition booking between June 1st and August 31st, agents become eligible to win an Arctic sailing for two in the summer of 2025. This enticing incentive highlights Seabourn’s commitment to rewarding proactive participation and engagement in its training initiatives.

The initial two webinars will be led by Robin West, Seabourn’s Vice-President of Expeditions, covering destinations such as Antarctica and exploring warm-weather voyages in the Pacific, Amazon, and Kimberley regions. On June 18th, ornithologist Danae Sheehan will host a session focussed on Arctic sailings, delivering expert knowledge and unique insights into this extreme travel niche.

In response, Seabourn also plans to distribute newsletters and engage agents through social media quizzes, further extending the learning experience beyond the webinars.

In addition to the webinars, newsletters focused on enhancing selling skills and product knowledge will be part of the training. Social media platforms will also be utilised to promote quizzes and interaction, adding an element of fun and engagement to the learning process.

Seabourn is pioneering a forward-thinking initiative with its ‘expedition month,’ aiming to elevate the proficiency of travel agents through comprehensive training. By combining webinars, newsletters, and social media engagement, this strategic approach not only enhances product knowledge but also fosters stronger relationships with travel partners.
