Kuoni Redefines Remote Agents to Boost Sales

Kuoni aims for a paradigm shift in its sales strategy by rebranding remote agents. The travel operator has strong intentions to enhance its business model deliberately.

This initiative is born from the desire to reach a substantial sale expansion target of 30% by the year 2025. It marks a significant departure from traditional operations.

Kuoni, in a strategic move to increase sales, has eliminated the term ‘homeworker’ from its lexicon. The company now refers to these professionals as ‘home-based business owners.’ This change underscores Kuoni’s commitment to recognising the vital role these agents play in its business structure. The sales segment attributed to these agents has grown significantly, now representing 37% of agency sales, up 10% from last year.

Additionally, Weetman is assembling a feedback group led by Adam Morris, consisting of the top 10 most engaged home-based agents. The aim is to learn and adapt from these key players.

Weetman states that this initiative demonstrates Kuoni’s commitment to showcasing its expertise and building strong, personalized relationships between agents and destination specialists.

Focus remains on exclusive properties, particularly in high-demand locations like the Maldives, Thailand, and Bali. This ensures that clients receive unique experiences at competitive prices.

By revitalising its product range and pricing strategies, Kuoni aims to dispel outdated perceptions and attract a more diverse client base.

Shop visits have also restarted, allowing the trade team to connect more intimately with their agent network, enhancing collaboration and support.

Kuoni’s trade-focused Facebook community has doubled in size, indicative of the increasing engagement and communication among its members.

With ongoing advancements and strategic initiatives, Kuoni is poised for a transformative phase that promises both increased profits and enhanced service delivery.

Kuoni’s innovative approach to redefining its workforce and expanding its market reach is set to drive substantial sales growth. Through strategic adjustments and the strengthening of trade relationships, the operator is well-positioned for future success.

With a focus on unique offerings and robust agent support, Kuoni is primed to redefine its position in the travel industry, enhancing both reputation and revenue.
