Globus Unveils New Agent Incentive with ‘Golden Ticket’ Initiative

Globus has introduced an innovative agent incentive programme in September, aiming to engage with travel agents across the UK through a unique ‘golden ticket’ initiative.

This programme not only includes in-store visits but extends online, providing opportunities for agents to win exciting prizes, demonstrating Globus’s commitment to its partners.

    Expansive Reach Across the UK

The Globus trade team is set to embark on an extensive tour, visiting over 60 agencies across the UK. These visits are part of an effort to personally distribute ‘golden tickets’ to agency staff. The programme reflects Globus’s strategic initiative to foster stronger relationships within the travel agency community.

Golden tickets serve as entry passes to a myriad of prizes such as scratch cards, dining experiences, and shopping vouchers. This personal approach aims to enhance agent motivation and engagement by offering tangible rewards for their efforts.

    Online Accessibility for Remote Agents

Recognising the diverse working environments of travel agents, Globus extends the opportunity to win ‘golden tickets’ to more remote employees.

Through the Cosmos and Avalon Trade Team’s Facebook page and email database, agents who are unable to participate in-person can still engage with the incentive online. This digital expansion means that agents, regardless of their location, can participate in the scheme.

    Inclusive Entry Requirements

The competition is inclusive, allowing agents to enter without the need to complete a booking with Globus or its affiliates.

This approach underscores the company’s commitment to inclusivity and broad participation, acknowledging the vital role that all agents play in the travel industry. By lowering entry barriers, Globus seeks to maximise engagement and participation across its networks.

Such a strategy helps in building goodwill and further consolidates the relationship with agency partners.

    Incentives and Prizes

Running from September 2 to September 27, 2024, the initiative features weekly prize draws announced on the official Facebook group.

Phil Shipman, Globus UK sales director, emphasised the company’s intent to appreciate its agent partners for their dedication. “We love getting out there and meeting agents,” Shipman stated, highlighting the importance of direct interaction and personal engagement.

This opportunity further cements existing relationships, offering both recognition and rewards for the efforts made by agents throughout the year.

New Itineraries and Offers for 2025

Alongside the incentive programme, Globus has launched a range of new itineraries and offers for 2025.

Travellers can benefit from savings of up to £700 per couple on tours in Asia, Africa, South America, and the Pacific. Similar offers include £600 savings on USA and Canada tours, and £300 on European tours. These offers highlight the competitive edge and expansive choices that Globus offers its customers.

This strategic move not only attracts potential travellers but also aids agents in offering more value to their clients.

    Special Avalon Waterways Incentive

Avalon Waterways introduces an additional motivational factor for travel agents with a chance to win a seven-night cruise.

This exclusive incentive includes a stay in the luxurious Panorama Suite, with flights for two on a 2025 cruise, marking a high reward for agent dedication and success.

Bookings made for a 2025 Avalon cruise by October 31, 2024, are eligible for entry into this prestigious prize draw.

    The Impact of Globus’s Initiatives

The initiatives by Globus reflect a robust strategy to engage with travel agents while offering substantial value.

By recognising and rewarding the efforts of travel agents, Globus strengthens its presence and relationships within the industry. These measures ensure agents feel appreciated and motivated, ultimately driving better business outcomes for all parties involved.

Incorporating such incentives highlights how Globus values its partnerships with travel agents.

These initiatives not only serve to reward but also effectively bridge relationships, driving greater collaboration and success in the travel sector.
